i listened to a presentation today by author and advertising executive nigel marsh. i couldn't help but feel like this man just gets it. for a long time nick and i have held the belief that life, in its purest form, is about relationship. relationship with others and with God.
i loved one particular line that nigel states “we need to change societies definition of success, away from the moronically simplistic notion that the person with the most money when he dies wins, to a more thoughtful and balanced definition of what a life well lived looks like”
as we sat in traffic yesterday, nick and i shared a high five in the car (how cool are we) at the prospect of this being our last year in sydney. i think we are starting to realise more and more what a life well lived looks like.
